IT infrastructure services

Your Business Runs
on Its Foundations.

Plan the infrastructure that supports your people, applications, and everyday operations. Plateau helps organisations review their IT environment, identify priorities, and define practical improvements with clear implementation responsibilities.

THE BUSINESS CONTEXT

Start with
What Matters.

Infrastructure decisions affect how people access information, use applications, and recover when something goes wrong. A growing business may need better connectivity, clearer access management, a new deployment environment, or a more coherent approach to its workplace technology.

We start with the environment you have. A useful assessment considers the business processes supported, the systems involved, known issues, vendor dependencies, and the people responsible for keeping the operation running.

WHAT WE DO

The Detail Behind
the Capability.

01

Understand the Current Environment

Documenting the starting point helps make the next investment more deliberate. The review can cover devices, networks, internet connections, servers, application hosting, user access, and support arrangements within the agreed scope. We identify dependencies that could affect a change and distinguish immediate operational issues from longer-term improvements.

02

Plan Workplace and Network Requirements

A network should reflect how the organisation works. Office locations, remote access, business applications, device types, and expected usage influence the design. We help turn these needs into a practical requirements brief and coordinate the agreed implementation. Any hardware selection, procurement, installation, or vendor work is specified in the engagement.

03

Coordinate Hosting and Deployment

Applications need an appropriate environment and a repeatable route to release. Planning can include environment separation, access responsibilities, configuration, backups, certificates, and deployment procedures. A migration also needs a schedule, a validation plan, and a way to respond if the change does not behave as expected. The chosen approach depends on the application and hosting provider.

04

Make Continuity a Concrete Discussion

A backup policy is only useful when the organisation understands what is protected and how it can be recovered. We discuss restoration responsibilities, essential systems, access ownership, and documentation as part of the agreed review. Recovery objectives and response commitments should be based on the business requirement and the services actually contracted.

A DEFINED ENGAGEMENT

Know What
You’re Building.

Your proposal defines the exact scope, responsibilities, milestones, and exclusions. Depending on the engagement, the work can include:

  • Agreed-scope environment review and inventory
  • Prioritised infrastructure recommendations
  • Network, workplace, or hosting requirements
  • Implementation and migration coordination plan
  • Access, configuration, and handover documentation
  • Defined ongoing support responsibilities

QUESTIONS, ANSWERED

A Few Useful Answers.

Do you provide hardware as well as planning?

Hardware requirements and coordination can be discussed as part of the engagement. Availability, specifications, procurement terms, installation responsibilities, and warranties should be stated explicitly in the proposal.

Can you help with an existing hosting environment?

Yes. We first review the application, current provider, access arrangements, and the issue or change you need to address. The outcome may be a configuration improvement, a deployment change, or a migration plan.

Can you guarantee uninterrupted operations during a migration?

A migration plan should identify expected disruption, dependencies, validation steps, and fallback arrangements. Any service-level commitments are defined in the agreement; they should not be assumed from a general service description.

Is a security certification included?

An infrastructure engagement does not itself confer a certification or compliance status. If a formal audit or certification is required, its standards, responsible specialists, and evidence requirements need a separate agreed scope.

How do you prioritise improvements?

We compare the business impact, urgency, dependencies, and effort of each issue. This helps your team decide which changes should happen first and which can be planned as a later phase.
