Managed IT & application support

Support for Today.
A Plan for Tomorrow.

Keep your applications and IT services aligned with a changing business. Plateau provides defined support and maintenance engagements for organisations that need clear ownership, practical issue resolution, and a structured improvement roadmap.

THE BUSINESS CONTEXT

Start with
What Matters.

Once a system is in use, its needs continue to evolve. People encounter issues, business rules change, integrations are updated, and teams request new functionality. A support arrangement works best when it separates incidents, routine maintenance, and enhancements while keeping the overall service understandable.

We begin with a review of the systems in scope, the available access and documentation, and the support your organisation expects. This establishes the responsibilities and service boundaries before an ongoing arrangement begins.

WHAT WE DO

The Detail Behind
the Capability.

01

Create a Clear Route for Issues

A useful support request includes the affected workflow, the behaviour observed, its business impact, and any steps needed to reproduce it. We define how requests are received and prioritised, who supplies missing information, and how progress is communicated. Criticality should reflect the effect on the business rather than only the order in which a message arrived.

02

Maintain Applications Deliberately

Maintenance may involve investigating defects, reviewing dependencies, adjusting configurations, coordinating releases, or making agreed improvements. Changes should be tested against the workflows they can affect. Access controls, release records, and rollback considerations help make the work traceable. The exact maintenance activities depend on the application's technology and the contracted scope.

03

Keep Enhancements Visible

An ongoing service should not turn every new idea into an unplanned commitment. We maintain a distinction between restoring agreed behaviour and adding new functionality. Enhancement requests can be assessed for business value, effort, dependencies, and acceptance criteria. That creates a useful roadmap and helps your organisation plan investment.

04

Prepare for Handover and Continuity

Support needs accessible documentation and clear system ownership. We review the availability of repositories, environments, provider accounts, relevant configuration, and operational notes. Responsibilities for third-party vendors and internal teams should also be explicit. When an engagement changes, the handover should preserve the information another authorised team needs to continue the work.

A DEFINED ENGAGEMENT

Know What
You’re Building.

Your proposal defines the exact scope, responsibilities, milestones, and exclusions. Depending on the engagement, the work can include:

  • Support onboarding and system-scope review
  • Agreed request, priority, and communication process
  • Issue investigation and contracted maintenance
  • Change and release coordination
  • Improvement backlog and review discussions
  • Operational documentation and handover arrangements

QUESTIONS, ANSWERED

A Few Useful Answers.

Is 24/7 support included?

Support hours, channels, response targets, and escalation arrangements are defined in the agreement. A general maintenance service does not imply around-the-clock coverage.

Can you support software built by another provider?

Potentially. We first assess the code, hosting, dependencies, documentation, access, and current issues. This establishes whether the application can be supported and what onboarding work is required.

Are new features included in maintenance?

The proposal distinguishes routine support from enhancements. A defined allowance or separate estimate can be used for new functionality, depending on the engagement.

Will you take control of our business accounts?

Access should be limited to what the agreed work requires. Ownership, administrator responsibilities, and credential handling are decided during onboarding. Your organisation should retain the appropriate control of its systems.

What information should we provide?

Start with a system list, technologies if known, current hosting arrangements, available documentation, recurring issues, and expected support hours. Do not send passwords or confidential production data in an initial enquiry.
