Web application development

Digital Platforms.
Real-World Usefulness.

Bring customer experiences and business operations together in a web application. We develop browser-based platforms with clear user journeys, useful administration, and a plan for the systems and people behind the interface.

THE BUSINESS CONTEXT

Start with
What Matters.

A web application helps people complete tasks, not simply read about a business. Users may discover a service, maintain a profile, make a booking, join a membership, submit a request, or manage content. Each journey needs to connect with the rules and operational work that follow it.

Plateau approaches the public experience and the administration together. The right platform makes the next step clear for a visitor and gives your team the tools needed to manage the resulting activity.

WHAT WE DO

The Detail Behind
the Capability.

01

Design the Complete Journey

We map how visitors arrive, what they need to understand, and the action they want to take. Registration, account recovery, saved information, forms, and confirmation states are considered as parts of that journey. Responsive layouts should preserve essential functionality across desktop and mobile. Labels, keyboard access, and useful error messages make a platform easier to use.

02

Build for the People Operating It

Administrative work has its own users and requirements. Content teams need editing tools; service teams need context; managers need clear status information. We define the relevant roles and administrative actions rather than exposing every function to every person. Where approvals or moderation are needed, the pending, accepted, rejected, and revised states should be visible and understandable.

03

Connect Accounts, Bookings, and Transactions

Membership and booking platforms often combine identity, availability, notifications, and payments. These components need agreed behaviour when a person cancels, a payment is delayed, or an external service fails. We establish the source of truth for each important state and plan the application around it. Integrations are selected according to the providers and access available for your project.

04

Improve an Existing Web Platform

A redesign may need to address more than visual styling. We can assess navigation, form completion, content structure, mobile behaviour, and the technical dependencies behind the experience. Changes can be prioritised around the journeys that matter most. Content migration, URL changes, and search visibility should be included in the plan when they are affected.

QUESTIONS, ANSWERED

A Few Useful Answers.

How is a web application different from a corporate website?

A corporate website mainly explains a business and generates enquiries. A web application adds task-oriented functions such as accounts, bookings, workflows, or transactions. Some projects need both, with a public marketing website connected to an application.

Can the application work on mobile devices?

Responsive design is part of the brief. We identify the important mobile journeys and adapt layouts, navigation, forms, and touch targets accordingly. Any device-specific features or installable app behaviour are separately agreed.

Can you create an administration area?

Yes. Administration is defined around what your team needs to manage, including content, users, listings, permissions, or operational records. The exact actions and access levels belong in the requirements.

Will the application be search-friendly?

Public pages can be designed for discoverability with meaningful content, crawlable navigation, metadata, and a deliberate URL structure. Private account pages require a different access and indexing policy. Ranking outcomes are not guaranteed.

What happens after launch?

We agree the handover, access, documentation, and any ongoing support before launch. Enhancements can then be prioritised as a separate roadmap informed by how people use the platform.
